A new start in life!

For all children living in Rhotia Valley Children's Home means a new start in life. Now clean water, three meals a day, clothes and a safe place to sleep - the proper care they need so much - is guaranteed. Now they can go to school every day, develop themselves. Get the education they will so much be needing in their future life!

Watch them play - at last they can be children!

Of course it took some time to get used to their new home, but the children easily intermingled, made friends and now occupy the two houses like two big families. They make the Home burst with activity and fill the air with happy sounds.

A day at Rhotia Valley Children's Home starts with a good breakfast and then a long walk to school in Rhotia. After school in the afternoon the children play soccer, games or do arts and crafts.

But they also clean and wash their clothes and participate in keeping their beds and rooms neat and tidy. They help the mothers prepare the food, using the vegetables they planted and cared for themselves in their own vegetable garden and eggs produced by their own chickens!

These are activities that all the children in Tanzania need to learn very early on - basic skills that will serve them all their lives.
