Welcome to Rhotia Valley Children's Home

A home with a view!

The Rhotia Valley Children's Home is built on top of the hill adjacent to the Tented Lodge. A home with a view in every sense of the word!

Like one big family

The Children's Home consists of three houses, built around a courtyard, each containing room for twelve children and two "mothers". This creates a family like atmosphere in each house. Up to this moment twenty four children found their safe and cosy home in Rhotia Valley - twelve children in September 2008 and another twelve children in February 2009.

There are two maintenance staff members who take care of the cleaning and daily repairs and maintenance of the homes. They also tend the vegetable garden and chicken yard and teach the children how to do this. They often play soccer with the children and like to develop their creativity.
